"George Ewart, Knoxville, is a member of the competitive barbecue team "The Dead End Society" and is a judge for the Kansas City Barbecue Society.

His team has won numerous awards, including grand champion/state champion of Tennessee at the Cookeville Cook-off 2007 and Chicken Champions of North Carolina at Shelby, N.C., in 2007. He recently shared tips with those judging the second annual "Big BBQ Bash...."
